Run a tool to automatically reset the startup file. RUN IT NOW
If the problem is not fixed, go to STEP 3. |

Disable and re-enable Auto-Protect |

- Start Norton AntiVirus.
If Norton AntiVirus is part of Norton Internet Security or Norton SystemWorks, then start that program. |

- Click Options.
If you see a menu, then click Norton AntiVirus.

- Under System, click Auto-Protect.
|
- 4
- Under How to stay protected, uncheck Start Auto-Protect when Windows starts up (recommended).

- Repeat this entire step (STEP 3), except in line 5 check Start Auto-Protect when Windows starts up (recommended).
- If the problem is not fixed, then go to STEP 4.

Run LiveUpdate and run a full system scan |

- Run a tool to download the latest updates and virus definitions. RUN IT NOW

- Run a full system scan on your computer.
