Cannot access the Internet after installing Norton AntiVirus 2004

I have installed Norton AntiVirus as part of Norton Internet Security
If you are having this problem and Norton AntiVirus is installed as part of Norton Internet Security, then read the document Cannot access the Internet after installing NIS or NPF.
I have a third party firewall program
This can happen if your firewall is not configured to allow Internet access to all of the Norton AntiVirus program files. Read the document Configuring your firewall for use with Norton AntiVirus 2004 for instructions on how to configure Norton AntiVirus to run with your firewall program.
I upgraded from Windows 98 or Me to Windows XP
If you have upgraded to Windows XP with Norton AntiVirus 2004 installed, then follow the instructions in the document Download and run the Norton Removal Tool.
