Error: "Runtime error!. . . C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSetMgr.exe" when uninstalling Norton AntiVirus 2004

Situation:
When uninstalling Norton AntiVirus 2004 (NAV), you see the following error message:

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error!
program: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSetMgr.exe"

Solution:
This problem was fixed in the latest Norton AntiVirus program update. To install the update, start NAV, run LiveUpdate, download all available updates, including any Norton AntiVirus Updates, and then restart the computer when prompted.
