- If you still cannot send or receive email, then go to STEP 3.

Disable Norton AntiVirus email scanning |
|
|

- Start Norton AntiVirus.
|

- Uncheck Scan incoming Email and Scan outgoing Email.
- If you are asked to verify that your email program is not running, then click OK.

- Click OK.

- Check Start Auto-Protect when Windows starts up (recommended).

If the error message continues, then the problem is not caused by email scanning. It is most likely caused by a configuration problem with your email program, Internet connection settings, or another firewall. Contact your Internet service provider or Microsoft technical support for help configuring your email and Internet settings. |
