How to start Ghost from Windows to clone between two computers
Situation:
This document discusses how to start Norton Ghost 2003 in Windows so that you can create an image or clone a drive or partition between two computers.
Solution:
When you use Ghost to clone between two computers, Ghost requires that you run Ghost at both computers in a DOS environment. Norton Ghost 2003 provides a variety of methods for starting the computer into a DOS environment, one of which is to start Ghost from within Windows.
Note: Ghost uses the Ghost DOS executable file to perform cloning operations. In Norton Ghost 2003, the Ghost DOS executable file is Ghost.exe. In Norton Ghost 2002 and earlier consumer Ghost versions, the Ghost DOS executable file is Ghostpe.exe. For more information, see the document

This document provides instructions for starting Norton Ghost 2003 from Windows to clone through a parallel port. To start Ghost from a bootable floppy disk, read the document
