How to remove Word 2000 or Excel 2000 macros for WinFax PRO 10
Situation:
You no longer require the WinFax PRO 10 macros to automatically start when Microsoft Word 2000 or Excel 2000 is launched and you need to know how to remove them.
Solution:
To prevent the macros from appearing each time that you start Word 2000 or Excel 2000:
Excel 2000
- Exit all open programs.
- Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders. The Find dialog box appears.
- From the Look In drop-down list, select the drive where you installed WinFax PRO.
- Select Include subfolders (if not already selected).
- In the Named field, type
wfxl2000.xls
and click Find Now. Windows displays all files matching your search criteria. A copy of this file should appear in the Xlstart folder, where the Office 2000 or Word 2000 installation appears.
- Select the resulting file in the Xlstart folder, and then press Delete.

Note: Copies of Wfword2k.dot and Wfxl2000.xls also reside in the Macros directory where WinFax PRO 10 was installed. The files do not need to be removed from this folder. Retaining them here will allow you to install the macros again later using the Macro Installer under the Tools menu.
