How to create a letterhead attachment

Situation:
You want to have a letterhead included on sent faxes.

Solution:

A letterhead attachment can be added to the top of any page being faxed from another application. For example, each page of your fax can be sent with a personal or corporate letterhead. You can specify one letterhead attachment for the first page of your fax and another for subsequent pages.

Instructions for creating letterhead attachments can also be found on page 4-16 of the WinFax PRO User's Guide under Managing Attachments. Instructions for including a letterhead with faxes can also be found in On-line Help in WinFax PRO or TalkWorks PRO.

  1. Start the Windows program, and open or create the document you want to use as a letterhead.
  2. Click File, and click Print. The Print dialog box appears.
  3. Select the WinFax printer from the Printer drop-down list.
  4. Click OK. The Send dialog box appears.
  5. Click File, and click Save as Attachment. The Save as Attachment dialog appears.
  6. Check Use As Letterhead.
  7. In the Description drop-down list, select either Paper1 or Paper2. This allows you to create and use two letterheads.
  8. In the Keywords field, type some text to help you identify this attachment in the future.

The letterhead is stored in a folder called Letterhead.
