How to integrate Microsoft Exchange/Outlook 97, 98, or 2000 contacts into WinFax PRO/TalkWorks PRO


Situation:
You want to use your Outlook contacts in WinFax PRO/TalkWorks PRO, or view your message stores (or logs) in Microsoft Exchange/Outlook.

Solution:

NOTES:

If Services is not displayed in the Tools menu for Outlook, switch to Corporate Workgroup mode as follows:

Outlook 97/98
  1. Click Start, point to Settings and click Control Panel. The Control Panel window appears.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs. The Add/Remove Programs Properties window appears.
  3. Highlight Outlook, then click Add/Remove.
  4. Click Add New Components.
  5. Click Install from CD or Install from Web depending on how Outlook was originally installed.
  6. Click Yes to allow Active Setup to detect installed components.
  7. Check Corporate or Workgroup Email Service from the Mail Components section.
  8. Complete the installation then reboot the system.

Outlook 2000
  1. In Outlook, choose Tools, then click Options
  2. Select the Mail Delivery tab, then click Reconfigure Mail Support.
  3. On the E-mail Service Options page, select the mail support option you want. then click Next.
  4. Read the warning message and then click Yes. Outlook will close.
  5. Restart Outlook. The Windows Installer will start and install the required files.

View WinFax PRO/TalkWorks PRO message stores (or logs) in Outlook
  1. Start Exchange/Outlook.
  2. Choose Services from the Tools menu. The Services dialog box appears.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Highlight WinFax PRO and click OK.
  5. Close and restart Microsoft Exchange/Outlook.

  1. Start Message Manager.
  2. Click Tools, point to Setup, and choose Program Setup. The Program Setup dialog box appears.
  3. Double-click Microsoft Exchange/Outlook. The Microsoft Exchange/Outlook Properties dialog box appears.
  4. Check Use Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft Outlook in WinFax, and click OK.
  5. Click Close.
  6. Close and restart the Controller.
