WinFax does not close when switching to a different user

Situation:
When you start WinFax and then use the Windows XP® Fast User Switching feature to switch to a different user and start WinFax, the first instance of WinFax does not close. Though you see the error message "Another user on this computer is using WinFax. Please try again later," the second instance of WinFax starts successfully.

The problem occurs only when you switch between users several times.

Solution:
WinFax is not designed to run in multiple instances. Running a second instance of WinFax may cause the program to function improperly. To prevent the problem, close WinFax before switching to a different user.
