How to remove the Print to WinFax and Mail Merge macros for Word 97 and Excel 97

Situation:
You want to know how to remove the Print to WinFax and Mail Merge macros from Word 97 and Excel 97.

Solution:

To remove the macros from Word 97:

  1. Launch Microsoft Word 97.
  2. Click Tools, point to Macro, and then click Macros. The Macros dialog box appears.
  3. Select DDEFaxMerge and click Remove.
  4. Select Print2WinFax and click Remove.
  5. Click OK and close Microsoft Word 97.

To remove macros from Excel 97:
  1. Launch Microsoft Excel 97.
  2. Click Tools, and then click Add-Ins.
  3. Uncheck WinFax macro for Excel 97.
  4. Click OK, and then close Microsoft Excel 97.

To remove the macro files from the computer:
  1. Click Start, point to Find, and click Files or Folders. The Find dialog box appears.
  2. From the Look In drop-down list, select the drive onto which you installed WinFax PRO/TalkWorks PRO.
  3. Check Include subfolders (if not already checked).
  4. In the Named field, type word97.doc and click Find Now. Windows displays all files matching the search criteria.
  5. Select the found file and then press Delete. The file is deleted.
  6. Click New search.
  7. In the Named field, type wfxxl97.xla and click Find Now. Windows displays all files matching the search criteria.
  8. Select the found file and then press Delete. The file is deleted.
  9. Close the Find window.
