How to change the number of downloaded content revisions that are kept in 11.0.2000 (MR2) or later.

Question/Issue:
The Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager is keeping too many revision related files in the "Inetpub\content" folder. Version 11.0.2000 (MR2) or later is set to keep fewer folders, but after the upgrade, ten folders are still present.

Symptoms:
Content is consuming too much disk space and did not change after an upgrade to version 11.0.2000 (MR2) or later.

Solution:
In Symantec Endpoint Protection version 11.0.2000 (MR2) or later the number of content revisions stored is configurable through the console.
Note
:

If you upgraded the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager, the previously configured settings will be preserved (For versions prior to 11.0.2000 (MR2) the default was 10).

To configure the number of content revisions retained in Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager follow the below steps:
  1. In the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager console, click Admin> Servers> Local Site.
  2. Right-click Local Site and select Edit Properties.
  3. Click LiveUpdate.
  4. Under "Disk Space Management for Downloads", select the number of content revisions to be retained.
