Question/Issue:
This document tells how to set up an internal LiveUpdate server for clients of Symantec AntiVirus 10 for Macintosh. It also tells how to set up an internal LiveUpdate server on a Macintosh using the LiveUpdate Administration Utility for Macintosh.

• If you have any questions or problems setting up a specific HTTP or FTP server, consult the manufacturer of that server.
• These instructions are written using the HTTP and FTP services that are built into Mac OS X Server.
  

1. You can set up an internal LiveUpdate server on a Macintosh that uses HTTP or FTP and runs Mac OS X.

2. After you set up your Macintosh as an HTTP or FTP server, download, install, and configure the LiveUpdate Administration Utility for Macintosh.
