You need more information about the LiveUpdate Plus service offered to Symantec Platinum Support customers.


Solution:
Platinum Support customers asked for more frequent LiveUpdate definition updates. In response, Symantec now offers LiveUpdate Plus. LiveUpdate Plus lets Platinum customers download LiveUpdate virus definition updates every day for supported versions of Symantec AntiVirus. Before LiveUpdate Plus, Symantec posted new virus definitions to LiveUpdate servers once per week, or as needed to respond to a new threat.

Features of LiveUpdate Plus

• LiveUpdate Plus is available only to Symantec Platinum Support customers, Symantec Partners, and Distributors. Other customers are not eligible for this service.
• LiveUpdate Plus is built on the same highly scalable infrastructure that supports our public LiveUpdate offering.
• LiveUpdate Plus only hosts definitions for viruses and Security Risks.
• Virus definitions are updated daily.
• Virus definitions are updated through the LiveUpdate Administration Utility and then distributed through your internal LiveUpdate server.
• Virus definitions for all supported products, except Symantec AntiVirus for Handhelds and Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh, are posted to LiveUpdate Plus.
