Question/Issue:
You want to know how you can configure Windows Security Center (WSC) alerts during the installation of Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 9.0.2 or Symantec Client Security 2.0.2.
Solution:
An installation of Symantec AntiVirus or Symantec Client Security can automatically configure WSC to enable or disable alerting by using new command line properties. The following table describes these properties.
| Property | Behavior | Settings |
| WSCAVALERT= | Configures antivirus alerts for WSC | 1: Disable (default) 0: Enable |
| WSCFWALERT= | Configures firewall alerts for WSC | 1: Disable (default) 0: Enable |
Technical Information:
When a Symantec product is uninstalled, WSC returns to its previous state; that is, the state before the Symantec product installation. For example, if WSC antivirus alerts were enabled before the Symantec product installation, the alerts are re-enabled after the Symantec product uninstallation.
