You need to know which version of the Symantec System Center to use with the different versions of Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition.


Solution:
The following table shows the versions of Symantec System Center that were released with each version of Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition:

Use this version of Symantec System Center	With this version of Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition
5.0	8.x
6.0	9.x
10.0	10.0
10.1	10.1

Any version of Symantec System Center will work with the versions of Symantec AntiVirus that are the same as or older than the version it came with, but not with newer versions. For example, Symantec System Center 6.0 can communicate with Symantec AntiVirus 9.0, but not with Symantec AntiVirus 10.0.

Note: Symantec System Center cannot be upgraded. If your version of Symantec System Center does not work with your version of Symantec AntiVirus, you must uninstall the old version of Symantec System Center before you install the correct version.
