Installing Symantec AntiVirus 10.0.1 server fails when Tamper Protection is enabled

Situation:Symantec AntiVirus server or Symantec System Center is installed, and Tamper Protection is enabled. You install the Symantec AntiVirus 10.0.1 server by running the Setup.exe file in the Rollout\AVServer folder on the installation CD. The installation fails, and you see the following error message:

"Setup has not received an update status from <ServerName>. The server may still be updating, or an error occurred on the server. Do you want to continue waiting for server status?"

Solution:Symantec is investigating this problem to determine a solution. This document will be updated when new information or a solution is available.

To work around the problem, do one of the following:
