Microsoft SQL Server requirements for Symantec Endpoint Security 11.0 and Symantec Network Access Control 11.0
| Situation: | You want to know what the requirements are for the Microsoft SQL Server and the database. |
| Solution: | Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 and Symantec Network Access Controls are only supported on the following SQL databases:
- Microsoft SQL 2000 Server Standard SP4 or later
- Microsoft SQL 2000 Server Enterprise SP4 or Later
(Note: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 is supported on English-language Windows operating systems only)
- Microsoft SQL 2005 Server Enterprise SP2 or later
- Microsoft SQL 2005 Server Standard SP2 or later
- Microsoft SQL 2005 Server Workgroup SP2 or later
- Microsoft SQL 2008 Server Enterprise (Requires Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 11.0.5002.333 RU5 or higher)
- Microsoft SQL 2008 Server Standard (Requires Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 11.0.5002.333 RU5 or higher)
- Microsoft SQL 2008 Server Workgroup (Requires Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 11.0.5002.333 RU5 or higher)
Not supported
- MSDE, "Express" or "Compact" versions of any SQL flavor are not supported.
