The location of your product key or activation key depends on how you obtained the program:

I bought a Symantec product CD online or in a local store |
|
The product key is on the back of the CD envelope.

I downloaded a product from the Symantec Store |

The activation key/product key is in your confirmation email message. You can also see it if you log on and view your order details.

I downloaded and bought trialware from the Symantec Store |

My Symantec program came installed by the computer manufacturer |

The computer maker provided a CD so that you can reinstall the program. The product key is located on the back of that CD envelope. If your CD envelope does not have a product key, contact your computer vendor. | |

If you use America Online, temporarily disable the parental controls before you recover your product key.

- Type your email address and your password, then click Sign In.

- In the Registered Products box, click your Norton product to select it.
