Why can't I create a License Portal account with my serial number?
We have made every effort to import the necessary data to ensure the License Portal Accounts can be made using the serial numbers received on your license certificate. If you encounter an issue where maintenance serial number can not create Symantec License Portal accounts you may find product serial numbers or version upgrade serial number are required instead.

If you are still unsuccessful in registering your serial number, please contact Customer Care. Customer Care will provide you with a temporary license file to activate your software while we research your issue.
