Situation: You need to register your serial number to obtain your license file or key.

Solution:
1. Navigate to the Licensing Portal at https://licensing.symantec.com.
• For easy future use, it is advisable to bookmark this site.

2. Select the desired language that you wish to view the site in.

3. Login page will display.

4. Please login with your user name and password that you have previously created.

5. Select “Manage License”.

6. In the “Adding Licenses” section of the webpage, select one of the following:

-“I Have A Certificate With A Serial Number”
**Note: If your Certificate does not have a Customer Number, select the “I do not have Customer Number” radio button.

-“I Have A Certificate Without A Serial Number” (Older Availability orders)
**Note: You are required to have a Customer Number for this option.





7. Select “Continue”
8. Select the license you wish to add by checking the appropriate box.

9. Select “Add Licenses”

10. “Licenses Added Confirmation” page is displayed. You have two options to continue.

a. By selecting “View Licenses Just Added”, you will continue on to the registration process.

11. In your “License Catalog Search Results Page”, select “View Details”.

12. In the License Key Options section of the webpage, select the “Register this License”

13. Enter the following information:
a. Any additional information serial numbers that work in conjunction with the serial number you are working with.
b. Email address where you want your License Key or License File sent to.
c. Host ID or the Symantec System ID (SSID) (If applicable)
d. Technical Contact Information (this is the person that will call for technical support) (if applicable)
14. If all required data has been entered for all Entitlement being registered, a Registration Verification page appears

15. Verify the data and select “Submit”.

16. Result: A confirmation page appears and you will receive an email with your license file or license key. Please note this will be a zipped file.
