How to use the Restore Wizard
Situation:
You have used CleanSweep to remove files or registry entries. You want to know how to replace these files using the Restore Wizard.
Solution:
If you made a backup of the files that were removed, they can be restored via Restore Wizard.
To restore files or entries from backup:
- Click Cleanup in the main CleanSweep window, and then click Restore Wizard (In CleanSweep 4.5 and earlier, click the Restore tab, and then click Restore Wizard).
- Select the backup you want to restore, and then click Next. The Details button can be used to verify that the correct backup has been chosen.
- Click Restore All the Files, or if desired, make a custom selection.
- Click Next until you have chosen which options to use, then click Finish to begin restoring the files.
- Restart the computer.
- The backed up files should now be restored.
