How to use the Restore Wizard

Situation:
You have used CleanSweep to remove files or registry entries. You want to know how to replace these files using the Restore Wizard.

Solution:
If you made a backup of the files that were removed, they can be restored via Restore Wizard.

To restore files or entries from backup:

  1. Click Cleanup in the main CleanSweep window, and then click Restore Wizard (In CleanSweep 4.5 and earlier, click the Restore tab, and then click Restore Wizard).
  2. Select the backup you want to restore, and then click Next. The Details button can be used to verify that the correct backup has been chosen.
  3. Click Restore All the Files, or if desired, make a custom selection.
  4. Click Next until you have chosen which options to use, then click Finish to begin restoring the files.
  5. Restart the computer.
  6. The backed up files should now be restored.
